Shirley’s greatest joy in ministry is to share with others the extremities of God’s love, grace and faithfulness in her own life. However, no one is more surprised than Shirley that God has chosen to use her in many leadership roles and now with an effective speaking ministry.
Shirley was so shy that even as an adult, she couldn’t find courage to teach a Bible lesson to five-year old children. But God had specific plans for Shirley’s life, and she uses her story to help women anticipate what God has planned for them. Because Shirley’s severe challenges have been so varied, women can always identify in some way with her story.
Shirley especially loves to share how God answered her prayers to know Jesus better. Listeners are eager to adapt these principles that Shirley has found effective, to their own lives. In the process, women are drawn into a more intimate relationship with the Lord.
“‘For surely I know the plans I have for you’, says the Lord, ‘plans for your welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope.’” – Jeremiah 29:11
